Texsport Vestibule Tent 10X13
By Remes
This is an excellent tent...well worth the price. It is roomy and has an incredible star-gazing roof. It is well-made and the fly offers a spacious covered entry. This tent has large windows on every side, plus an easy entrance front door. I have had many tents, and this one is my favorite! When setting this tent up, anchor the base to the ground before inserting the poles to raise the tent. This will give you the needed leverage to push the tent upward, from one corner at a time.

Maybe it would work with a small army to set it up.

I really wanted this tent to work. Love the design and the space. But it absolutely cannot be set up by one person. Since I camp alone (except for my dogs, who don't help much) I need to be able to set up a tent solo. I set up an 8-man tent by myself in 20 minutes last night, so I figured this smaller 6-man would not be a problem. Not so. VERY long, VERY heavy fiberglass poles. They are necessarily strung loosely because of the length, which means they come apart repeatedly. They also get hung up on the gaps in the sleeves all the time. In 20 minutes I was able to get four poles threaded, but was not able to erect more than one pole solo. Again, they are heavy poles, and to erect one (meaning inserting both ends into the pins on the tent corners), you have to hold up all four heavy poles. Not happening for 105lb 50 yo female. Just as I was realizing that the tent cannot be set up by one person (me), I noticed that the string inside one of the poles had broken. That cinched it -- this tent is going back. I didn't even get it set up and it was a huge pain in the assets and already broken. Dang.To add insult to injury, even without having set the entire tent up (meaning it never got fully filled with air), it was near impossible to roll up tight enough to get back into the bag. Another inch of bag would have made a world of difference. I came back inside after 36 minutes, defeated, sweaty and dirty, just from ATTEMPTING set up in my own yard. Very disappointed. If you have lots of helpers, then maybe this tent will be great. I really wanted it to be. But it's just NOT great for one person.

Texsport Boulder Creek 6 Person Vestibule Tent

Great size for 2 person newbie campers. Room for queen size inflatable bed, 2 storage containers used as "night stands", and portable electric fan. A little difficult for freshman campers to erect, but will probably get easier with use.
