TexSport Lodge Square Dome Tent
By Bruce C. Ream
We purchased this tent for Bonnaroo 2007. The first one to arrive had some problems but as usual Amazon was lightning fast with a replacement and we were ready to take off for Manchester, Tenn. The special feature we like about this tent is the ability to attach the tent to our rental SUV. It worked flawlessly and was very easy to accomplish. We really enjoyed being able to stand up inside the tent and have all the SUV space to store things and reach them easily from inside the tent. You see a lot of different tents at Bonnaroo every year and Texsport Lodge Square Dome was one of the very good styles that we saw. Except for having to replace the first one, this was a very good product that served our needs perfectly.

Lodge Square Dome Tent
By Akrogh
The opening is big enough that we not only use with our HHR, but we have also used it with the full size pickup/camper shell. It is easy to set up with two people, but one person will struggle unless they are very experienced with tent setup. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the tips came off the poles and we almost lost one before we realized it. We duct taped them on so they won't come off again.

Nice tent for the money
By iridium
I waited 2 months to write the review, until we actually used the tent. Since whiners here on amazon had so many complaints, I almost didnt get this model. I figured amazons' return policy is so simple, if the tent didnt perform on a dry run setup in the yard, I could send it back. My wife and I had the tent up in a matter of minutes, nothing broke, directions are simple. If you ever put up a dome tent, you can do this one with your eyes closed. We were going to seam-seal it, but all the joints were good. Nice pole system, lots of neat pockets, cool glow in the dark zipper pulls too. The tent attached to my 2003 expedition like it was made for it. It did take a few bungees according to another review here. You do need 2 bungees to secure the top to your roof rack or other spot. At the campground (Rocklahoma 2012!) the wind was blowing up to 50 mph when we put the tent up. All went well, it did not rain so I cant attest to the water proof quality, but as I said the seams are all sewn or bonded well, you should always have a tube of seam seal in your camp gear anyway. I have zero complaints on this tent. As a bonus the expedition has rear A/C and we were able to cool the tent nicely with the trucks' A/C!! Had the only air conditioned tent on the grounds! :>Update 9/4/2012: We took this tent to Padre Island beach last week. we stayed on the beach for a week, it was very windy and the sea spray was relentless. It had rained one day for over an hour, between the constant spray and the rain, we were high and dry the whole time. We did need to do some creative staking since the sand likes to let your tent stakes come loose in high wind. I just made up some extra long stakes out of metal dowels from Lowes, we also tied gallon jugs filled with sand on the windward side. Did notice the bottom fittings on the poles popped off after we took the tent down, nothing the hot glue gun cant fix. I re-iterate my original review..This is a good tent for the money!!
