Product Description
Co-designed by veteran mountain guide Mike Haugen and tested on Mount Everest, the Coleman Exponent Helios X3 is a four-season tent worthy of the most grueling conditions. Developed to withstand high-altitude environments, the Helios X3 is a three-person tent that is slightly oversized and suitable for expeditions or base camps at higher elevations. A modified dome, it has a footprint of 92" x 82", two large D-shaped doors and two vestibules that are 8 square feet each. Center height is 48". The Helios tent features four Yunan Atlas Scandium poles; used in high-performance sporting goods as well as military and space applications, the scandium alloy is well-suited to tent poles that must stand up to demanding conditions. A shock-corded floating connector, tapered on each end, joins identical poles, eliminating the need for a fixed insert in either pole. This innovative design allows the poles to flex in an even arc with better distribution of stress, making them stronger and less prone to failure. Structural features include a combination of pole sleeves and quick-clips for quicker setup without compromising strength. Extensive pole coverage with multiple guy-out points provides “bomb shelter" strength to handle snow loads and high-altitude winds. The 70-denier nylon fly sports silicone and polyurethane coatings to increase resistance to wind and weather. Inside pockets provide a handy place to store gear. Pack weight: 12 pounds 4 ounces.

Great Four Season Tent
By M. Robinson
I have a North Face Mountain 35 and I think it a wonderful tent. It has withstood snow, sleet and driving rains. This tent is just about the equal to it. A climbing/hiking friend recently bought one and we took it to the White Mountains in February. For two it it incredibly roomy. It has two vestibules that are very spacious unlike many other tents that have a primary vestibule and sometimes worthless secondary. It is tall enough (although not as tall as the Mountain 35) to allow two people to sit up and play cards in comfort. It is much lighter to pack in than the Mountain 35 and just as bombproof. We experienced 45 mph sustained winds with gusts to 65 mph. And we slept like babies as were told when we came out that we had slept through the 65 mph winds. I have recommended this tent to two other people looking for four season tents, and I don't even own one. For the price this tent is hard to compete with.

A BOMB_SHELTER
By Mark Anderson
This tent is incredible. Syl-nylon...more guy out points than you can shake a stick at. Huge inside and giant vestibules. I probably shouldn't say this but I bought this with Amazon Prime for 224.00 SHIPPED I love amazon 8-)

Not ultralight & no footprint but serious hardware.
By abitaskew
You can honestly fit 4 people and packs inside. It's too heavy to hike with so this onee's gonna be basecamp near the truck. I've hiked with 2 person 3 season tent in winter and we still had to split the fly and tent. It is durable and the doors are double lined. It seems tricky adjusting th fly as close to the bottom but it looks big enough.
