I love this tent!
By Sheryl
Forewarning: This review is based on an overnight backyard use in a light rain, it has not been 'field tested' yet. Also, Coleman marketed this tent to Costco and is no longer making it. It appears to be the only WeatherMaster Screened tent that has an attached floor in the screened area. Seen a YouTube video on this tent and thought it would be perfect for taking my Golden Retriever along and this was the only place I could find it. Setup isn't too difficult but will take a little time. Best if you have two people. It has lots of headroom and the hinged door is an awesome feature! No more zipping & unzipping if your going in & out of the tent. However, you can still zip it closed when needed. You can also enter through the side screened area. It also features 'self rolling windows' so you don't have to hand roll the windows & tie them up. It also allows you to partially open them if you want. There is also a small access zip port for an electrical cord. It comes with an attaced divider that closes off the screened area, and another divider that you can clip on and make three sections. I used the top ring to attach a Coleman lighted ceiling fan (and it holds it fine) instead. The screen room has 'walls' as well that can be zipped closed for privacy, bad weather, or for blocking the Sunlight if needed. Don't be supprised if your poles are slightly scratched. They are larger than normal shock cord poles and I believe they just bang against each other during transport. Being marketed for 10 people is just ridiculous. That's the maximum amount you could cram in there. I think it would be a great roomy tent for 2, or slightly crowded for 4 and maybe up to 6. Concerns: the top of the tent is screened and completely open. Rainfly must be attached unless your stargazing & sure of no rain. The rainfly doesn't come down the sides very far and I'm not sure a wind blown rain would not come up under it. There is a horizontal pole that goes on the rainfly in the middle at the front and back of the tent that bows and gives a slightly arched overhang. I figured during bad weather I could take the horizontal pole out of the pockets that make it bow, and tuck it behind the vertical poles so it would hold it down & closer to the tent and maybe not allow rain to blow under it. All & all I love the features of this roomy tent & can't wait to get it out to the lake! Will update when that happens.

Awesome tent
By jennifer simpkins
this tent is great!! My favorite things are the screen room, self rolling windows and hinged door. It took my husband and I about 45 min to set up (im positive we will have it down to 20 min next time) the break down went quick and everything fit back in the bag. Lots of space!!

UPDATE from original review
By beachy
First I'm only giving this tent 2 stars currently 7/23/12 and I will update my review after another rainstorm. We live in the Pacific NW so obviously it's gonna rain while we camp more than likely. Bought this @ our local CostCo. Loved the price. We are a family of 6. 2 teens and 2 younger ones plus hubby & myself. Tent up 7/21/2012 nice night slept in the tent all went well. Oh took hubby and 17 yr. old maybe 20-30 min. top to set up. I will give this tent a plus for room and ease of setting up. Wish the rain fly or tarp that goes over the top was longer. We have not put Kiwi camp dry on yet but we plan on doing so along with seam sealer just to be on the safe side. 7/22/2012 it rained in the afternoon then all night and early 7/23/2012 am. I went out around noon to see the "damage" if any regarding leaks. Very minimal for the most part. HUGE puddle though near the zippered door of the screen room. We had all the sides up to protect it but the reason for the HUGE puddle was because there are 3 zippers that meet together near the bottom of this part of the tent. 2 go horizontal and 1 vertical. They meet together and create a "hole" because they don't zip together. We had rain and wind we are pretty sure this is how we got a HUGE puddle in the tent. There is a flap that velcros on the outside over the vertical zipper but it ends about 1-2 inches above where the 3 zippers meet together so they aren't covered or protected. I sent a complaint to Coleman about this issue and now I will give a final review on here after we have tried to figure out what we can do to remedy the issue ourselves (going camping soon no time to get new one). I'm hoping to give this tent more stars but for now it's only 2 due to this issue! We don't expect tents to be totally waterproof but this design is a huge flaw and irritating if you camp where it will be raining!UPDATE: I finally see I forgot to give an update (first review only gave 2 stars but it's performed well so now 4 stars)after our 2 big camping uses in Aug. 2012. We did do Kiwi Camp Dry our entire tent and Coleman did send some "repair" kits for my 3 zippers meeting together issue and they said they would pass my email that I sent them to their designers for review. First camp trip was eastern WA early Aug. 2012 and it was hot and dry no issues at all. Tent up within 30 min. 5 of us slept nicely but with beds, clothing etc. I would say this is way better for 4 people unless you are a family with smaller children (age wise). Then end of Aug. we went camping along the Oregon Coast. Amazingly we had some nice weather and this time all 4 of our children were able to come so there were 6 of us but the 2 older boys decided to bring their own smaller tent (ages 19 and 17) so it was just hubby, myself and our 10 and 8 yr. old in the Coleman tent which worked out fine with beds and clothing etc. etc. We had only 1 day of severe rain and wind the tent held up well! The "puddle" we had earlier in the tent in July when we first got it well the camp dry, sealer and kit from Coleman helped and we had just a little bit of water come in not even enough to complain about! Overall we are happy with this tent and I'm sure we will get quite a bit of use out of it over the years. our family agrees though it will be used mainly for 4 of us. The older boys want their independence and stay up late so they have their own smaller tent for this years upcoming family camping trip. I do agree that better tent stakes are a must but this is basically true with most tents so invent in a few more dollars and get some extra sturdy stakes.
